Presentation quote
I love this quite by Alain de Botton 'I passionately believe that it's not just what you say that counts, it's also how you say it. The success of your argument critically depends on your manner of presenting it'. We with all have been in the audience and been left feeling that the presenter must have known their stuff but 'could have out it better'. We need to really care how our delivery makes our audience feel. No one wants to feel that they wasted their time coming to one of your presentations.

As promised here is another great presentation quote.
ReplyDelete“Ask yourself, ”If I had only sixty seconds on the stage, what would I absolutely have to say to get my message across.”
– Jeff Dewar
I think it is easy to fall into the trap of putting all the information related to a subject into your presentation. By doing so your message is actually diluted and the audience cannot dig out the key facts and messages that they need. When designing your presentation ensure that your key themes and points contain only that which is essential to ensuring your key objectives are met.
The more you add the more you dilute your message. It doesn't add to your professional standing when you tell something everything you know about a subject. Your credibility and reputation is built on being clear, concise and jargon free and delivering a presentation which the audience do not have to work at to understand.
